I'd say there's a 99% chance he was going to drop you. And even if he was friendly, tough luck... Reaching for your gun at a military site is a declaration of war. "he started pulling his gun out" ... yes, affirmative yes you did the right thing. Military locations are very competitive and it's unspoken but well known that they're a KOS warzone type scenario. I've found friendlies at military bases before, but it's rare. You go military and you go for blood. He may have made a mistake and maybe was trying to raise a hand and hit 3 instead of F3 or something, but if someone is packing heat at a military base you put them down before they put you down. You should always approach someone assuming they're friendly, regardless of your location. What's the difference between a barracks with military loot and piano houses, schools, red brick houses, office buildings, etc? They all contain potentially deadly loot as well. Dude military spawns a vary well known KOS areas. Everyone who played a while knows that. I don't take my chances with anyone in military spawn areas. I will either shoot randoms are flee.
