How to save video settings on windowsXP

Hello, 
i have problem with saving user interface resolution in game...
When i change it and save the settings the game crashes. Same with DayZ.cfg file, when i change it, the game after start crashes.
I can play it, but i have like 10 fps.  <_< 
And BattleEye won't log me on any server, it says "battleye failed to initialize"
Any troubleshooting? :)

with XP you do not meet the minimum system requirements which are "Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1" You've been lucky to get this far with DayZ.
