Sad as it is to say I have never really ventured up north past NWAF.  I have always went for the PVP at NWAF to fill my entertainment needs.  I have now left NWAF behind and decided to venture up to the very north of the map.  I have heard it mentioned but can not find it.  Is there really a base up north and does it really have barracks?  If so could you please kindly point me into the correct direction of this base.  Thank -You in advance.

There is a base with a single barracks and a single jail building near Kamensk. It's not easy to find though, so take some food and water with you.

The nice thing about the far north is the complete lack of other players (and Zs), so you can just run around in peace. I pretty much live around there these days.

Are you sure those of us who skulk up there haven't seen you and let you pass? ;)

THAT is what I love about this game. That constant possibility that you've just sprinted past someone's little setup, or crossed their path while they were out hunting (or something)... and that they took your life in their hands and chose to give it back.

Rule #1 of DayZ - never assume you're alone. Someone is always watching. Can't count how many times there's only been 1 or maybe 2 other people on the entire server and I run into them (and in the oddest places).

Tatanko usually knows a lot about this stuff... bumping in case he knows more, especially about the Tisy one. Maybe I'll make a run up there now and search for myself.

Are you talking about the one up near Tisy? Or Kamensk?

Sorry for such time passing before responding but was at work.  I have never been to either of these bases. I shall venture to them in the coming week.  Thank-you.

There's a fantastic military base to the East of Kamensk and North West of Svergino, hidden in a forest.

It's one of my favourite places in Chernarus, not because of the loot, but because it's so beautifully modelled.  It's overgrown, the walls are all broken and crumbling - it really looks like a place that's been abandoned by humans and is in the process of being reclaimed by nature.

I love just walking around, it's positively eerie.

Sometimes I wonder how often I've been in somebody's crosshairs, sitting still. I've had dozens of people at my complete mercy like that, and they'll likely never know. Always assume someone is watching.
