Please Revert back to the old running animations

i'll get straight to the point people are going to disagree with me and some are going to agree but in my personal opinon the new running animations with  a weapon and without a weapon looks stupid the old original running animations where fine and are appealing but the new ones on the other hand are ugly and are hard to fight during combat ill give a few videos for a example

Now for the old running animations with a gun i couldnt find a proper video so i just got a video from Commander Pixel -

if you watch from 4:00 to around 4:30 it shows not alot but a fair bit of him sprinting with his gun and with his weapon raised jogging abit,in my opinon this was more appealing to look at then the new running animations 

 

i understand people are going to disagree but this is my opinon, but if these do get reverted back (which i hope they do) it will make combat more enjoyable and less clunky at times specially in close combat situations

Just about everyone I saw comment on the 0.50+ running animation says it looks strange.

+1... DayZ Dev in a nutshell... fix something that not broken and is so miniscule noone cares about it, instead of things that actually matter

 

Anyway, not sure if I'm just used to the old ones or not, but they do look like they'd fit a track and field game and not running through uneven terrain

Also, they prob wont change them anyways

I like the new running and sprinting animations, but they are clearly unfinished. One of them, I think the new sprint, has an issue where the left leg "pops" at the end of the cycle and doesn't flow smoothly and it sticks out badly. However, the animations referenced in the video for sprinting to me do not fit the speed with which the player moves. Especially that video from commander pixel, it took me  about 15 of those 30 seconds to realize he was sprinting because it looked like he was jogging at a sprinting speed.

Or in the case of the compass, Make it awkward and annoying.

i just hope in the next couple of patches they revert back to the old animations ( which i doubt will happen sadly) because when i watch old YouTube videos of people in combat with the old animations they seem to run alot more flaunt then the new ones in combat, the new animations seem clunky and odd specially in close quarter combat

New animation is fine. Although I'm sure it's not final either. It will probably get tweaked again once the movement speed is reduced

The animation is not final. It should be tweaked in upcoming patches :)

The old one does look better. But I'm sure that the new one will look even better when it's finnished. Because as VictorKane said. It's not yet :)

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this already but maybe nobody has their weapon out not at the ready.

 

The sprinting you are complaining about is when the character has the rifle shouldered and ready to fire.

The sprinting you want is when the rifle is lowered and is swung in the arms as you sprint.

I've been trying to figure out why they changed it in the first place. I quite liked the original ones it looked solid, now we have this stupid flail your arms around like a chimpanzee crap that looks so unbelievably stupid.

Sad to think they picked someone who moves like that for the mocap... poor guy
