Is it that intel runs better as of right now than AMD?

I think you are overestimating how good your PC really is - don't get me wrong it's not bad, but it's not good either, and dayz doesn't run well on actually good systems.

I never said it was great so im not overestimating it. I was curious because I wanna know what the problem is

Dayz is PCU intensive.

Im gonna assume you ment GPU. That being said it currently runs on DX9c which puts fantastic hardware limitations on both the CPU and GPU. DX10/11 address these issues.

No he meant CPU .. arma and dayz are very cpu intensive games.  That being said more I'm pretty sure Dayz is still relying pretty heavily on single core performance (hopefully some multi-thread optimizations are in the future)

I run an

AMD FX-8350

2 R7 260x's

And I still run not all that great, but the game isn't optimized at all, of course that doesn't mean anything for somebody with a lesser build, Now, your build isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't top notch high gear gaming either. And your statement that mentions Intel running better than AMD, it is dependent on the chip and card. Each play an important role in your game performance.

EDIT: the game also does not run full performance like a game such as Arma 3 does. Even high tier gaming PC's don't run this game the way it should. So your best bet is to upgrade your CPU as much as possible. But don't worry a whole lot on your card. The game isn't very GPU intensive. DayZ also does not utilize any 2nd GPU. You infact have to actually force the game to in AMD And Nvidia card settings. And even then you probably won't notice a whole lot of a difference.

For anyone running a AMD APU/FX processor and Window 7 there are two hot fixes that address performance problems. The first one changes the way windows schedules threads by assigning new threads to waiting modules first. The second update disables core parking in Windows 7. Windows 8 already has these hot fixes.

Patch 1:

http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%207/Windows%20Server2008%20R2%20SP1/sp2/Fix387870/7600/free/441065_intl_x64_zip.exe

Patch 2:

http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%207/Windows%20Server2008%20R2%20SP1/sp2/Fix391262/7600/free/441280_intl_x64_zip.exe

note this only affect bulldozer based AMD cpu/apu's. These updates wont help your Phenom II.

However wouldnt my specs be able to run this game fine?? The reason im asking is because will this game eventually be optimized for others with the same problem to run this game smoothly??
