Karmaterror 982 Posted December 28, 2014 There are a LOT of people that just want to roleplay. I think it is boring as fuck but I play on two RP private shards filled with people that just want to hang out with each other and pretend they are in the apocalypse. That's true, but to me they aren't experiencing Dayz. Its like I dunno....I could get a bunch of guys to cooperate on an CS server and rolplay something....but then am I experiencing CS? I can see the appeal of doing that, I even tried it on the mod once. I joined a PvE only server (where btw the admins were allowed to shoot ya.....but if you shot back you got kicked lol!). Played a day or 2 and got bored same as you, even though I was getting some of the experience I wasn't getting the higher pulse the second I loged in, knowing I could be shot right then and there. What I meant wasn't about PvP though, it was if you strip survival and perma death away from dayz......it truly is arma 2.5....with no editor lol ;)

It isn't up to the devs to force people to play their game the way they designed it to be played. Why should someone care if they are "experiencing" DayZ if they're having fun? Doesn't rub me the wrong way at all. I'm just glad they're playing DayZ

Was just my point of view on playing it that way :)
BrainlessZombie 190 Posted December 28, 2014 Did someone slip on my chocolate milk some lsd? 'Cause this whole post feels surreal. Post related: I couldnt disagree more with op, mostly cause of reasons stated by several people already.
liquidcactus 719 Posted December 29, 2014 I dont want the community split up into categories of difficulty. I already have enough trouble getting any friends of mine to play on hardcore as is.. no dampening down I would say from the way regular servers already are in light of this post. Though I have a feeling maybe something down the track in the way of the PS4 version will probably have some kind of training wheels for kindergarten gamers that the console market is infested with :D
