robbyj 77 Posted December 17, 2014 Thanks for your opinion, I am not sure if this was the best place for it though. If you are an experienced player, wait until you have some more posts before you, "preach" to other noobs that will listen to anything you say. It seems like you are making some kind of a guide for players. If you just want to ask for help on a load out, say so! You tagged this "survival guide" and "pvp guide". This is your first post, I wouldn't be showing others how to play unless you state some serious background you could mention.

OddMagic 0 Posted December 19, 2014 Yes, for my first post, it wasn't the best. Forgot a can opener, some peaches, and a canteen. Also, I have 507 hours, so I am not a "noob". Just not the brightest xD

NinjaTurkey 255 Posted December 20, 2014 Black/brown cowboy hatGreen check shirtTrousers/jeans of your choice, i usualy pick brown.Improvised backpackChest holster/assault vestThen fill your pockets with whatever you want. My favourite gun is the AKM.My point here is there is no "best gear" pick what you like. Everything has pro's and cons.I roleplay to a certain extent so i like to look like a survivor. Running around looking like a soldier is what 95% of players do and it gets old really fast.

tobias winfro 305 Posted December 20, 2014 For me its an improvised fishing pole, a hook, boonie hat, waterproof bag and jacket, bandages, a shovel, axe, knife and matches. This is all I need to survive but "good gear" is dependent on the player and what you feel you need to survive. I'm not big into pvp so a weapon isn't a big priority until I have what I need to make it in the wild. Everyone has their own opinion and style, so no answer is a bad one
OddMagic 0 Posted December 22, 2014 Damn, you guys made a good point. I now realise that looking like a survivor, and not looking like a douche is much better :)

Millenbauer 10 Posted December 26, 2014 Id say the "best" gear would be a scoped Mosin, and a AK74u with two mags/MP5 with two mags as a CQC sidearm so you can fight well at 1m to 800 meters. Keep the sidearm in a large capacity vest.A rangefinder, a selfmade backpack to couver your profile while prone. Or ghilie/smersh vest combo. Green combat boots, with a combat knife in them. Boonie hat that holds a fishing hook. Green sprayed fire axe as melee/utility weapon. Two protective cases, one that holds matches, Compass, map, can opener. The other to hold reserve mags. One ammo box for all the ammo you need. A first aid bag that holds 1 bandage, two pens, one seline bag ready to use. Two water bottles (military variant that holds more water then the usual pet bottles). Rest of the slots you keep cans of food. Clothes, id recomend a full gorka uniform, pants and jacket. A green balaklava.
