SneakadyBug 2 Posted December 16, 2014 So ever since this new patch, my DayZ is almost unplayable. All my settings have been on very high before the patch, and I would get a steady 50 FPS in towns (No big towns like Novo or Elektro or anything like that). Then, ever since I updated, I will load in and everything will be fine. About 5 minutes later, the game will freeze for approximately 3 seconds, and then my FPS will drop to about 7. Soon after, DayZ will crash. Anyone know of a fix for this?
treetop82 59 Posted December 16, 2014 No, a friend of mine has the same problem except it leads to a blue screen of death after his video driver crashes. He has run stress tests on his equipment and seen no errors. I suspect its some sort of memory leak or loop. It also began occurring after the .51 patch. Friend is using Nvidia GPU. foolee 43 Posted December 16, 2014 I'm running 2x HD4670's in crossfire. No problems to report on the ATi front.

My friend will crash looking through binoculars. I'm assuming that they've added something for the new graphics engine coming next patch so set everything to low and play for an 10 minutes then start adding an extra layer of detail every 10 minutes then you should find the culprit. foolee 43 Posted December 16, 2014 The only problem I seen to get is when I log in my screen is sometime black. It seems to happen regardless of the time of day in the server. Ill say to my buddy, is this a night time server? His response, It's high noon. Its been reported. Changing my AA setting seems to fix the problem. I'm due for a upgrade though. Video cards will be the last thing on the list.
barnabus 1708 Posted December 16, 2014 Hmm, I guess lucky for me that an FPS of 7 is normal.
