They don't persist, they will vanish and be respawned on one of many locations when the server restarts ;)

In a persistence server, the truck and tent will be reset as well...only stuff that are on you will remain...

While not entirely false, trucks will respawn every server restart, whereas tents will persist through server restarts, but will be wiped during Wednesday maintenance.

ya, I hide mine deep into forest and looked for jerry cans to get fuel since it was on a 50/50 server, but the server resets every 2 hours. 'sigh'

You are correct, I guess i got used to our private hive server where it's reset/rebooted 3 times a week including today's maintenance to counter the loot build-up. ;); in that case, the tents are wiped if left unpacked...

 

So i assumed the OP meant today's maintenance as the "reset", gw for clarifying that in terms of tents--pack 'em up on Wednesdays ppl!

Yeah, don't get attached to the placeholder truck. There are 20 per server per restart, they are not hard to find.

That was in experimental, only 3 per restart in stable.

Ah, I thought they kept in up to 20 in stable because, well they are pretty much useless other than for tooling around atm.
