Dayz Experimental - Executable Missing 0.51

Hi guys

 

Today in morning i have played normally the experimental, until now with no one problem.

 

But 3 hours laters i tried to play again and the game wont starts sayng: " Executable is Missing" ... i returned to dayz normal (.50) and i can play normallly, but when i tried to play the experimental again same problem ocurrs.

 

Just tried check files, re-install, delete appcache folder on steam, and NOTHING works.

 

Plz any1 can help?

If you want to play Stable, you have to have the Stable version. There is no cross-compatibility at this point, as the .exe's differ. There are two different ones for Exp and Stable.

I am having the same problem and I have played experimental only, never reverted to .50, and also deleted the appcache folder and restarted the computer. It has been persistent for the last 6 hours now, it is 12:45 EST at the moment.   Any advice on how to resolve it?

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it. The nonexperimental version works fine.  However, upon updating back to experimental results in the same thing "Executable Missing"  Which is rather annoying. I've cleared folder history, I've updated steam, I've run it as an administrator, and I have restarted the computer 4 times now. Any further advice what is causing this problem or should I report it as a bug?

There is no experimental version right now. Both branches are on the same version. But as exp uses the dayz_experimental.exe and stable uses dayz_BE.exe, an experimental client will not launch because the dayz_BE.exe is missing.
