Hi all I would love to be a new player ... but after install game just hangs with a message about waiting a moment ...

 

Moved to troubleshooting, have you run a verification of game cache to ensure there are no corrupted files?

 

• Right click on steam icon.
• Select run as administrator.
• Go to you game library.
• Right click on dayz.
• Go to properties.
• Select the local files tab.
• Select verify cache.
• Launch the game when complete.
• Try to join a server.

Report back with findings.

Ok . . .

I have checked the cache and the dx . . .

steam client game cache OK but dx needed to be installed ... I have done that but still stuck at (wait a moment... ) screen.

 

I'm using a Alien ware M14xr2

quad core i5 3230m @ 2.6 

6 GB ram

Win 7 64bit

NVidia GT650m

I am also having an issue getting this game to start i have Dayz wait a moment on the top left corner...... and thats it.  I can't go further in the game.  I already checked fired wall and I also have Alienware.  Alienware M17 X r4 Quad core I7 8gig ram and 500 GHz.... still cannot start it.. I only have one other game thats Evil within and that works from steam... so not sure what the issue is here.. I did what u said above but still cannot start it.

Quit Steam.

 

Remove the files in My Docs / DayZ name DAYZPROFILE / VARS & DayZ CFG (you may only have 2).

Run Steam as Administrator.

Start Steam and verify game cache.

 

Your computer is good enough run the game.

Has this problem been solved???? I am having exactly the same problem and can't fix it. Surely there is a wiz kid out there who can help me with this???
