General suggestions

Recommended Posts

-Fix zombies AI, animations and hitbox.

-Make zombies slow and more strong and remove jumps.

-Adds much more zombies and zombies horde near city and areas of interest.

-Zombies horde can walk through entire map.

-Zombies should be less resistance on head and very durable on the body.

-Adds zombies also in some building.

-Adds corpses in various forms on entire maps, in buildings, on roads and in vehicles.

-Make the entire map much more dirty, with blood and disorder(for now is too much clean to be an apocalypse game).

-Make all environment textures dirty and worn.

-Players can become zombies after dead.

-Adds graphical informations for noise, hunger, thirst and other..

-Less ammo and military weapons.

Just to start, what we're fighting (Besides the environment and other players) are not Zombies, they're infected humans per se.

We aren't fighting "The Walking Dead" zombies, we're fighting people, whose brains aren't quite what they used to be.

They can still do physically what we can for the most part. Zombies just doesn't cover what we're up against here.

Secondly, these suggestions have been suggested enough already, just search the forums a tad bit. I'm guessing you're new here considering your lack of posts, correct me if I'm wrong, but make sure what you suggest in the future hasn't been posted a lot already.

Thirdly, you're suggestions aren't what DayZ is about (Give or take a couple, mainly regarding the "Zombie" suggestions right now), we're going off a basis of what the mod was, the devs are going for a similar feel, if you haven't already I suggest watching videos or playing the DayZ Mod for Arma 2: Combined Ops.

Finally, keep in mind the amount of stress it would create, we just can't handle hordes right now, we can't handle advanced AI yet, we've got to stick with the basics for now.

Good luck in the future, and I hope you enjoy your future experiences in DayZ

Disagree to becoming zombies after death. Allegedly the survivors are all immune to the disease.

Disagree in less military loot. It's just that military bases should be harder to get to and loot safely.

Neutral with corpses in random places, but they would seem out of context, because if you found a random corpse, it should be another player's corpse. The only corpses I want to see are in body dumps and/or body bags.

The only ones I agree with are "durable on body". Auditory feedback for thirst and hunger etc is on the way,

Seeing as zombies are infected with apparently no fear or pain reaction, it would make sense they can stand up to two or three more bullets than the average person to anywhere but the heart or head, not caring about pain and not going into shock, as the virus just makes them into a weapon to spread to new hosts, ignoring the zombie's well-being as a result.

Thank goodness you didn't suggest 'headshots only' though. With the realism of DayZ, I don't get why people keep asking for zombies magically immune to bullet harm from the chin down. Even if a zombie was immune to pain, enough body bullets would shred the torso enough to make it unusable eventually.

The map seems pretty dirt and worn down to me. Besides, an outbreak of a zombie infected wouldn't generally make the whole world look like Fallout, unless the apocalypse had gone on for many years, in which case things would look pretty bad. And if you go into certain houses, you can see blood spilled all over the floor.

When it comes to the zombies, hordes ect, a lot of those suggestions will be implemented in the future.

They can still do physically what we can for the most part. Zombies just doesn't cover what we're up against here.

But they do. Expanding on ,my previous post:

Honestly its a meangless distinction. Zombie used to describe any human being that has been lost to death, infection or whatever twist has been used to make our zombies different. Whatever the cause, the result is the same an apocalypse due to the zombies rising en mass as they feed on the living\uninfected\whatever

So while our zombies (as officially used by the devs) differ from the classic definition of a zombie (risen from the dead) and more akin of the more modern 28 days later variant (infected), its mostly about splinting hairs then having any affect on the game...

If our zombies were simply infected human that hasn't changed in anyway, then survival would be about getting a month worth grocery list and good book. Then just sit and wait until our new noisy neighbors die out of starvation and exposure to the elements. Since our zombies can survive the rain and the cold, hunger and thirst as they endlessly roam the country (and without worrying about their shoes condition, I might add) it safe to say the infection has adjusted them so now they can survive in conditions that uninfected human can't.

It is funny how people think military loot would not be abundant..

How would a country respond to an outbreak on this scale? And their own law enforcement was not able to contain it?

The military / national guard would be called in to handle the situation.

More civilian weapons. More military weapons

Larger the variety= better game play experience and when I say variety I mean weapons that would have a

plausible reason for being in Chernarus.
