How to transfer my character to new HDD?

Hey, my current HDD is about to break so I am transferring to a new one. I currently have a good character in Dayz, is there any way to transfer him to my new HDD? Does steam cloud do that automatically?

its all contained in the hive as long as your using the same steam account you will have the same character
