How do I install Day Z?

 

I downloaded 'Play with Six' is that where I need to  be? 

 

A step by step instruction list would be awesome

Just making sure here: DayZ is for free, but not the game it is a mod for.

You need ArmA2 and ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead. Either directly from steam OR you insert your CD Key into steam. Then install DayZ mod for free in Steam.

Here is a step by step guide:

 

  1. Buy ARMA 2 on Steam
  2. Download ARMA 2 from Steam
  3. Launch ARMA 2 through Steam
  4. Buy ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead on Steam
  5. Download ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead from Steam
  6. Launch ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead through Steam
  7. Download ARMA 2: DayZ Mod (it's free on Steam)
  8. Launch ARMA 2: DayZ Mod

 

Done.
