So my tents disappeared after ~1830 today?

So I had 3 fully packed tents well hidden on a fairly remote location. Me and a buddy saw the warning about the wiping of persistent storage today at 0700 and completely broke up our camp yesterday (took all we could carry, including the tents).

Today we put down the camp again, well after the maintenance, and went scavenging. When we returned around 1830, all tents were still there, still completely filled with a boatload of rifles, ammo and food.

 

Now, a few hours later, everything is gone.

 

Considering the amount of gear (rifles), location and server population (fairly low all the time), I'm confused what caused this. There was absolutely nothing on the ground, which makes hijacking unlikely (you think people would've had to dump some stuff in order to take that much gear)

 

So, any others that experienced this or have an explanation? (oh, and it's a public server). Please tell me the reset doesn't happen in the evening?

BEC ran a warning for the past few days that the wednesday maintenance period was going to clear out all 'persistent loot and tents' and to 'pack all of your tents before the reset'.

But they said it would have been at 0700 so if he puts his tents up again after that, they shouldn't have been wiped. Or did they actually wipe the persistent servers at 7PM?

I know, but like I said, we packed up all our tents on tuesday and then pitched them again hours after the maintenance.

Same here, but with one backpack.

Take my spare backpack with some gun,amno and food inside from my secret tree with me tuesday evenning, before the maintenance.

After the maintenance near  13h00, I log in back and put my backpack back in place.

In the evenning near 20h30, all has disappeared.

 

I've noted this, after the maintenance near 13h00, no loot in the houses near my spot. When I log back in the evenning, full of loot in those houses (but my backpack out), so something happened in this area...

Yeah loot and persistance has been reset so loot respawned.

 

And about the tents: There was a random chance to loose a tent on tuesday, and so is it on thursday. We had a regular maintenance on Wednesday, no update / patch / hotfix.

Sooo, even though they SAY it's only being wiped at 0700 on wednesday, they might actually be wiped tuesday through thursday?

In that case, there's totally no reason to get a tent and waste time getting gear and storing it, because in the end you have to carry it yourself half the week..

Not exactly. They reset persistance data during maintenance, that was intentional. But if you loose your tents randomly, thats a bug and it happens. Persistance is still a big WIP so you can't really expect it to work 100% flawless.
