Can you die from infection?

I got hit by a zombie, and it broke my legs, tore my tendon, and gave me an infection, all in one hit. We're gonna go look for antibiotics, but can the infection kill me?

I think you can lose up to 6000 blood from an infection, so maybe.

If you get infected, you lose 3 blood points every two seconds or so until you reach 6,000 blood.

So, if you get infected when you have 9,000 blood, you'll slowly go down to 6,000, but if you get infected while you have 5,000 blood, you won't lose any.

So, no, the infection won't kill you directly, but having ≤ 6,000 blood is a pretty big disability.

Also, tell your friends to keep their distance, otherwise they'll probably get sick, too.
