Threedogs 0 Posted October 30, 2014 Hello guys, me and my friends are using a persistent loot server, working fine if we talk about the persitence of objects you leave on the ground(ex: if i leave something on the ground and the server restart, i will find the object where i left it). Now, the problem is: 99% of times the server restart... no new loot is respawning anywhere. Thats pretty much our problem. We will send a ticket to our server host too, but i thought that could be an usefull thread on this forum if anyone got that issue too. If we'll get a response from our host and solve the problem i'll surely share the infos here; meanwhile if you guys know something about this problem..it would be appreciated. Thanks for reading, hope it'll help us and someone else too :)
fluxley 2228 Posted October 30, 2014 Loot isn't meant to respawn on server restart on persistent servers, it just respawns gradually over time, restarts make no difference. Not saying there's not an issue, but it seems from your post that you aren't aware of how the new system works.
Threedogs 0 Posted October 30, 2014 yea you are right, but the issue remains cause no new loot respawn overtime anyway.. restart or no-restart :) that's our problem.
fluxley 2228 Posted October 30, 2014 Ah, ok, Have you reported it to the official bug tracker? http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view_all_bug_page.php Thats probably the best way to get it looked into by the devs. Hopefully the new patch will make persistence a bit more reliable. gannon46 788 Posted October 30, 2014 try loot cycling or take all items out of the area or try moving to other towns I play only on persistence servers because I fell they are a little more difficult if you move away from the coast and hit towns not frequently traveled then you'll find good stuff just don't bother hitting mil areas they are usually loot free due to hoppers and the like at least from my experience. Rags! 1966 Posted October 30, 2014 The loot respawn system isn't good enough to justify having persistent only servers. Yet. When it is, it'll be the greatest thing that happened to anything ever.
