Tents Dissapear?

Hey guys,

 

I've read through a ton of persistence posts about degrading items, and putting them in tents and losing items to tetris etc.  I haven't seen anyone say their "tent" has degraded and dissapeared yet other than thinking it was a maintenance that wiped it or for some reason they don't know.

 

So my question is...is a tent indefinite or does it degrade?

 

What I'm getting at is that "tetris" will rearrange your inventory to neatly pack it in a "top-left orientation".  So as long as you make sure that your items inside are always perfectly oriented so no tetris occurs, you should never lose anything inside a tent unless the tent dissapears or it's stolen.

Well yeah Grundle, mine got deleted 2 weeks ago. So I don't bother with tents anymore.

4 tents were deleted after server restart two days ago. I asked the server provider(Fragnet), they told me that was a bug.......

Aren't the tents supposed to be backed up and whatnot to prevent this kind of 'bug' from the server providers?  Or is it still a bug in the code and tents aren't worth finding?

And this is why I'm glad both Bruce lee and chuck Norris made their mark on Europe Asia and America alike ; our police forces now flying kick through criminals windshields ... Lol best thing seen at work all day .

Edit : just so there's some relevance in this post, I first found my tent near devils castle when tents first came out like 2 months ago .. I pitched it right in that half circle corner wall it was the most exciting moment I've had in dayz for loot (well up until I grew my first tomato crop and locked/unlocked my first "base" to store loot in it) I can't remember what server it was on but the next day it was gone from my hands after I packed it up and placed it in hands :( !

What are the chances this will be fixed in the .50 rollout??!?!!?

Anyone have tents that haven't dissapeared?  What company hosts those servers.

there is one server that is more stable than others that I keep using for saving stuff that I can not carry (10 backpacks, 15 weapons and 10 pistols) so only random stuff disappears from time to time. I won't tell the server though. But it is american one (as for some reason they are the most stable currently).

What about in a PM?  I don't care about your stuff.  You probably save things that I don't want.  I only want to store specific items.  So if you fell comfortable PM me the name of the server and I'll keep your secret.

 

Also on said server, are your backpacks not deteriorating?  I thought that they eventually deteriorate and dissapear.
