Very low fps on brand new laptop

Recommended Posts

Hi, I got this game yesterday and was running it smoothly on my laptop with 1920x1080x32 and 100% rendering resolution. All other settings were on normal. However when i played the game today i experienced severe fps delay with a max 5fps on these same settings lol. The only thing that has changed since that I can think of is that I activated and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on my laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled DayZ with no change in result. I have tried all the suggestions in other posts to increase FPS with to no avail either.

Processor: Intel® Core i7-4710MQ CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50GHz

8.00GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M

I also have a Crucial M500 240GB SSD if that is relevant at all.

Apologies in advance as I am a noob. Thankyou for your help and advice guys.

Are you sure DayZ is using your graphics card?

Also check your power profile and ensure it is using "balanced" or "high performace"

Oh and of course go here and make sure your drivers are up to date

It would more than likely be somewhere in Nvidia control panel.
