VictorStagnetti 0 Posted June 30, 2012 It started as an epic experiment in human nature, with no rules. all we had was a makarov a can a beans, and each other.now there is:-barb wire griefing on every server-no morphine to fix broken legs on the first hit-snipers, snipers, snipers-broken loot spawns-running the only viable tactic-pvp is the only thing left to do-LOLREALISMit started as revolutionary. now it's just the ego-booster of one developer which will become the forgotten inspiration for open world games of the future.the game has been broken for a month now, and no hotfix.it's past its prime. face it. at this point it's hard to see if this game will ever be worth playing again. pic related: it's the rocket worshiping dayz community [attachment=1624]
richard_b 15 Posted June 30, 2012 The MOD USED to be good for a reason-people trusted each other-albeit not all the time-and the KoS mentality wasn't there. But then CoD players, BF players, God knows who else flooded the game. And now, we have to be super careful crossing NWAF unlike three months ago.

Yeni 53 Posted June 30, 2012 I blame Side chat removal. You dont know who is in the town your about to enter, meaning if you see someone, you better shoot them before they shoot you. In b4 "Its more realistic"
Promagnum 1 Posted June 30, 2012 ... which will become the forgotten inspiration for open world games of the future.I think you might need to go outside and get some quality sun time. Vitamin D. Then re-evaluate what's important in your life as a human being.
fluffyville 0 Posted June 30, 2012 Past it's prime? It's still in Alpha. At this stage in the game's life expect things to be broken, that's what the Alpha stage is all about, breaking things and pushing things to the limits, rolling out new stuff and seeing what people do with it. Like the barbed wire spammage, yes sure it's annoying but if players didn't do stupid things with it now then Rocket and the rest of the team wouldn't know that there's a problem with it. If you hate the barbed wire now, think of all the fun you're going to have with bear traps. I can already smell your rage you'll have when you denied access to a building with cool loot because someone placed 30 bear traps in the door ways. But that again is what Alpha is for, deal with it or take a break for now and come back in the Beta stage.

grizzle 21 Posted June 30, 2012 For one, the game isn't even finished yet. And second, the whole "experiment in human nature" angle is/was bullshit. A game with ZERO real-world consequence is not a reflection of human nature. This game is nothing but a reflection of how many prepubescent, emotionally stunted assholes there are in the world. Something which we've all known from pretty much every single multiplayer FPS out there.I've been playing it for about a month or so and I've only been shot by another player once. Mostly because I play it to survive against zombies and only connect to low population servers. If you want to experience the game as a zombie survival game, you're going to have to do the same.Jumping on high player count servers and visiting all the PK hotspots only guarantees you're going to run into the type of people that are powerless in real life so they turn to video games to act out their latent aggressive tendencies against other players. Then they can power down their machines when done without having suffered any sort of consequence.Exactly what aspect of human nature is supposed to be represented here? ChaoticRambo 4 Posted June 30, 2012 -barb wire griefing on every server-no morphine to fix broken legs on the first hit-snipers' date=' snipers, snipers-broken loot spawns-running the only viable tactic-pvp is the only thing left to do-LOLREALISM[/quote']- I have yet to run into barb wire I couldn't find a way around.- I have found plenty of morphine, I always carry 2-3 at all times- Yet to be killed by a sniper- Dunno whats broken with loot, I have no trouble finding it- PvP is the only thing left to do for people who have no patience or don't want to make things to do. These are people who want to be told what they are to do, and when they are not, the resort to what other games have told them to do. Try giving yourself a challenging assignment and working on that. You don't need to be rewarded with an in-game achievement to challenge yourself.- Doesn't even deserve a response.

Alex988 9 Posted June 30, 2012 for me dayz changed too. as i started i was always like a sneaky ninja. Now with the new zeds i just run like rambo take my shit and then escape. Also if you knew where to find the good stuff it becomes very boring, all you can do is killing some poor bastard running around with an axe :
