DemonGroover 8836 Posted October 15, 2014 Well if i got those frames i would be quite pleased! Not sure why your frames are constant if you change to Low textures, quality, post processing off etc though.
Statik (DayZ) 2695 Posted October 15, 2014 Are you overclocking at all? Is DayZ on your SSD or HDD? All considering, that's playable for SA.

Nonsoc 0 Posted October 15, 2014 on ssd i have the same fps in city...
DemonGroover 8836 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Have you played around with all the settings? For example if i enable clouds and shadows i can guarantee a 10-15FPS drop, same goes for high post processing. I have a laptop and though i find it playable 30-40 fps most places i do have to drop some settings down or disable them. I don't think the SSD will have any effect of fps, but things should load faster. Edited October 15, 2014 by DemonGroover

DemonGroover 8836 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Which city are you talking about? All of them or perhaps Novo? The reason fps drops so much in cities is because all items, objects are loaded when you are in a city (i believe). Hopefully this improves as the project nears beta and release. Statik (DayZ) 2695 Posted October 15, 2014 I just want to add, if you're rocking an H100i, and a 4770, you really should be OCing. That would also improve performance. Make sure post processing is off. 25-35 in cities honestly isn't that bad FPS for cities in DayZ, especially on more populated servers.
DemonGroover 8836 Posted October 15, 2014 35 FPS in Novo is a dream for me!!

DemonGroover 8836 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Tbh i spent a fair few hours adjusting/turning off/on settings and comparing the fps when i got my new laptop. But if you get 30FPS with these settings in cities i dont see why you couldnt get 40-50 with a few settings turned down/off. Do you have vsync disabled for example? For some things like textures, clouds and shadows etc i don't really know if the Very High setting achieves anything - Statik would know better than me. Judopunch 523 Posted October 15, 2014 The game is going over many heavy under the hood changes. Expect a drastic increase in performance when its released (in a year or more) but for now there isnt much you can do. .49 was great for me, .50 on the exp servers lost me about 10 fps in citys. Also try this: http://dayzintel.com/dayz-standalone/dayz-standalone-performance-guide
