grayfour 0 Posted October 13, 2014 All of this has been done in the Arma 2 game. The school building should be checked by more people, because this could be one of the reasons why the fps in cities goes down. In arma 2, in cites, on multiplayer my fps averaged around 20 fps.In singleplayer this average fps went up to around 60-100 fps. But, once I looked at the office/school building my fps went down to an average 40 fps.I've checked the school building in both Elektro and Cherno and in both cities my fps dropped. I hope that this might help the developers or modders to make Dayz a more fun experience.
DemonGroover 8836 Posted October 14, 2014 I understand the fps issues in cities to be because of all the objects and items loaded. But im no wizard. It is all voodoo magic to me.

grayfour 0 Posted October 14, 2014 I've been further investigating the framerate issues, and I found out; In cities the gpu usage reduces. Around forests and looking away from cities the gpu usage is around 60%, while in cities it goes down to 30%. I am not sure if more people are having this problem, but more gpu usage is necessary, especially for those bigger graphics cards out there with more performance. Also, the cpu usage in the game is around 60%, which can of course go higher. Something I forgot to mention is my computers specs; Processor I5 3570 [Non-k]RAM 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHzGPU Radeon HD 7870 2GBStorage 120 GB SSD SAMSUNGMotherboard ASRock B75 PRO3 Another thing, which people might already know, but I wanted to tell it anyways just in case it helps. The frame rate increases and decreases depending on the server. Like I said in my previous post,in singeplayer I am getting a massive fps increase, while on the server it's really unplayable. Considering Dayz standalone performs nearly similar to the mod, this might be the case in the standalone as well.I can't test this, because the Dayz standalone doesn't have a singleplayer option. grayfour 0 Posted October 14, 2014 Which makes your "control" test invalid. What about players and zombies around tho?Sorry I've not been able to test this as of yet. And yes indeed it could make my test invalid, but because most of the map hasbeen imported from arma 2, there might have been a similarity. Of course it's only a theory, but I am trying to help improve the game.
