The game seems too survivor/bandit heavy, I have afew suggestions

By the looks of it, the main problem is the game is too player-reliant, it doesnt seem zombie isnt that much of a big impact anymore.

This may requires increasing the zombie count on servers.

So heres my suggestion: Random urbanised towns are overtaken by zombies in different servers, these towns will have more loot if that place is overtaken. This will some how force a group of players to work together to clear the town (or a building) where big risk comes great reward. Zombies can be in buildings aswell if overtaken. This may reduce the amount of bandits aswell (as said before, it may require a small party to clear the area). You don't have to clear the whole town to get what you want.

With that said, a few players cant handle a horde of zombies? by being tactical, it can. My next suggestion is zombie/corpse flesh repellent, where you can cut up a corpse and splat the flesh and blood on your clothing, zombies will ignore you if you walk near them, unless you sprint, they will get your attention. It will of course have a time duration on how long the flesh and blood stays on your clothes and by sprinting, you will drain off the flesh and blood faster. This can only be applied when you are out of combat (no zombies are chasing you), else the zombies will still chase you if you have the corpse flesh/blood on you. By putting this on, your moving speed can be reduced by a certain amount.

Another suggestion is Weather. Sunny, rainy.etc, nuff said.
Rain will also remove the corpse flesh repellent completely.

My next suggestion: Luring zombies away, you can throw your tin cans or wateva at a location to lure zombies away, or kill someone to lure zombies to enemies who are hiding. Only works if you dont have zombie agro.

The zombies are infected humans, not undead. Cutting up a corpse and wearing it wouldn't help you whatsoever most likely.

 

The idea of having lots of zombies to force players to cooperate has been talked about numerous times, and it is a good idea I suppose. It still won't stop banditry though, and it shouldn't, as it adds dynamic to the game.

 

I do believe Weather is already a thing(Can't play DayZ due to the fact that my PC is not only broken, but needs to be upgraded).

The horde has been suggested multiple times, but we don't have any confirmation of it, nor do we know when more zombies will be added. They are still testing the stability i think.

We had that in the mod didn't we? At least DayZRP has it, i don't know if its exclusive to them

because this game needs more certain feedbacks, bug reports.

I suppose this is the main reason They don't increase the zombie count.

I would like to see the zombie AI have a grouping feature. As zombies move around they come into contact with other zombies. Their reaction is to follow the group which ends up creating a horde. I would also like to see these groups move around the map, making their way through forests and towns alike.

This is an awesome idea, would love to see this implemented bringing more realism to the game and give the zombies more mechanics

 

So let me get this straight, you complain about a survival game to be to survivor heavy?

I'm not complaining, it just seems that zombies arn't the problem anymore, youre in a zombie post-apocalyptic world, let it be what it is. What I meant by survivor heavy is the game is too influence on player killing.

Careful OP... CoD Kiddies and the Reddit kids who sam good suggestions with nonsense and flood the forums with bitching are finding their way here...

Some people get huffy puffy when you suggest adding something to keep them from playing CoD and make them have to play DayZ.

But its okay, I see rage threads everyday where they claim to give up because of weather, zombies, rare loot, ect. So eventually, us survivors, heroes, and true bandits (Not the KoSing CoDKiddies who patrol the coast, but the KoSers who do it for food, fear and safety are okay) will be able to play DayZ again soon (Betaish I hope)

Well the zombies weren't (aren't) a treat since the beginning of the alpha, it all has to do with their AI and some other optimisations. It will come eventually :) and then player's can't afford to shoot in a town without getting a horden on them. It would finally require some thinking before taking a drastic action.

You probably made a thread that got bashed for a stupid idea, which is where this vendetta for anything against these ideas comes from.

But yes, OP, the game is player reliant, it is supposed to be that way. The developers said events and other NPCs are not happening. Also the skinning thing sounds like something you thought of off the top of your head to beef up your suggestion.

I dont ever want to see an end from banditry... it should exist in some shape and form. Id like to see the game's PvE become so hard that relying on people becomes important for most to survive... the true pros can do it alone, if they dont slip up. Of course a gang of bandits might keep themselves alive and still go about their robbing / murderous ways.

 

But right now theres nothing to do besides kill each other... surviving is easy. Things would hopefully play slightly different if NOT dieing was challenging.

Yeah. Banditry should remain an element, but less abundant than it is now. Surviving should take an element of reliance on others. It should be hard enough to force most bandits to change their ways, leaving the hardcore professionals who can do their job effectively.
