umm_me 77 Posted October 9, 2014 Ive never found anything like that myself either. If I had to guess... this is why persistent servers seem broken, the loot is spawning in areas that dont get looted often, like this room. This room probably hasnt been looted in a week on that server. But meanwhile people cant find anything worhtwhile near spawn points. Just my guess.
Tegla (DayZ) 112 Posted October 9, 2014 Is this experimental? Found a similar post on reddit today
Mookie (original) 799 Posted October 9, 2014 I went onto a clan server yesterday, in a barn full of fire axes, mosins, pistols, etc, etc. Needless to say I was kicked off it within 30 seconds.
odin_lowe 3686 Posted October 9, 2014 Saw those similar instances of massive loot, but it was on experimental and those have loot table/persistence/loot respawn in a very "experimental" state... This was on experimental 0.50 about 5 days ago. Since the loot respawn mechanic has been implemented and tested, those bugs/glitches in the said mechanic have appeared. Enjoy it while you can, because I truly hope anything like that will be fixed very soon. (it's breaking immersion for me, but that's just me...)
t1337dude 101 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) I feel like server operators have been able to do this for quite some time. I don't think this is exclusive to the stable builds. This isn't discussed because this is a known exploit for getting good loot fast, and it's actually quite common, I've witnessed it before first hand (on Stable). Essentially people who run servers can simply spawn in cycles of loot in short amounts of time. I've seen it before awhile ago so I feel like this isn't a new thing Edited October 9, 2014 by t1337Dude
