AshleyP 121 Posted October 9, 2014 There's another thread about blank player names, which always rings alarm bells when I see them - I assume it's a trick to stop the admin from kicking them. I was on a server yesterday that had a couple of players with the exact same name, with (2) after the second chap. Was it simply two players playing a silly trick, or someone who had been disconnected during the login process, or an attempt to duplicate gear... a glitch in the matrix? Ghosts? Aliens? Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted October 9, 2014 If the names are common, its not uncommon to see two of them in which case the second to log into the server will have a 2 next to the username in the player list. I.e. john and john (2).
Sleeves 98 Posted October 9, 2014 Yeah, obscure player names set off air raid sirens for me. Normally I report them to Steam for hacking.

ChainReactor 922 Posted October 9, 2014 How can admins kick? Do they have to type or click on a list? I think it's a console command, but actually, I have no idea.

I think it's a console command, but actually, I have no idea. It's the same way an admin would kick someone in a wasteland server (well not completely they could have an out of game program running or a console) basically all you do is hit "P" and click on the players name and click on "Kick". For normal players you will see "Mute" but for an admin who has logged in as an Admin via In-Game they see "Mute" & "Kick". Logging in is fairly simple also, you'd just type in direct /login ******* or something similar, its been a few months since I've done it personally.
