Damaged cloth progressively loses item slots and makes you drop objects inside

Ruined gear makes you drop objects inside

  1. 1. Do you support this suggestion

So my suggestion is if for example your jacket gets ruined after another zombie hit you get a message that "Your jacket (backpack, pants etc) got destroyed and you dropped the gear in it" or something like this. This makes sense because for now we use slots of our ruined stuff without caring about its condition.

So guys, what do you think?

No I don't support it since right now one bullet is enough to ruin an assault vest and the second to ruin the jacket, also if you fall 2 meters height your pants get completely destroyed. Even if they are ruined, in real life I would still use the pockets as long as they don't have holes in them.

Maybe just let the number of useable slots of damaged and ruined cloth and bags decrease?

The mechanism and amount of damage needed to ruin your pants or vest can be altered or adjusted and I believe it will be. Don't simply apply this suggestion to existing build. Your stuff inside your pockets doesn't have to be ALL ruined because of one bullet. And as I understand it if your pants are ruined there are no pockets and there is no physical possibility to wear them.

Once again, I don't say objects inside get ruined too, they just drop and you get message about it so you would have to rethink and reorganise your inventory.

Assign clothing items pockets and if that section gets hit or ruined you lose items in that pocket.

That would make sense.

Agree. I'd also like to know if any of my clothing receives damage with an appropriate message to stay informed about my gear condition. As in real life I'd definitely notice if my jacket got ripped or my backpack is torn.

No, as this is kind of an example of where the limit of realistic and fun comes into play. This would make the game just more frustrating in my opinion and I am usually at favor with hardcore things, but not this.
Items you are carrying already take damage when you get injured, so that aspect is kind of covered.

I do agree damaged clothes should come more into play though.
Maybe getting shot in the torso for example would damage the item and then that Ruined item will stay in that slot until you remove, then that slot can't be used again till it is sowed and then you can use that slot again. I don't know something like that.
