Mauser Jagdwaffen, Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, and Walther Arms still have patents for many of their old guns - the C96, PP/PPK, P38, Luger P08, MG series, Mauser/Gewehr rifles, and whatnot.

Granted most of their weapons can still be added with official or at least well-recognized names - "KAR-98", for instance. Hell, the devs have the Steyr AUG in with its real name. It's just that a lot of these companies are still in business, or at least have rights to the designs of older weapons, so technically royalties for them still exist.

I would really love to see a WW2 museum as a cool centerpiece for a city where you can loot surplus military weapons and uniforms.

 

Not to mention Chernarus is not too far from Stalingrad.

Old Soviet uniforms should already be in the game lol and I wouldn't mind any German uniforms either, lets face it German ww2 uniforms and outfits looked damn good.

 

 

and add some metro tunnels

have nazis live in 1 part and soviets live in the other

have them fight

we now have online metro

That would be the greatest thing ever, but apparently The studio is back and they said they are bringing back an old fan favorite then later mentioned how alot of the work for the new stalker was finished.

 

Ples God be a new stalker oh and the next metro is going to be open world.

Maybe some would have netting on them? Could play around with the burlap sacks and grass/foliage idea more.

Don't know about a faire but it does look more tourist attraction, I'll need to head out there one day to check it out better.  They did just add a mace to the game didn't they?

EDIT

That said a war museum or even some evidence of a movie being filmed would make WW2 Era German Unis fit in a bit better.  I still don't think they'ed be very useful though outside of 'cosplay', but then again neither are the Payday masks.

Reenactors play both sides of a major conflict. This hobby is even popular in Russia and other parts of East Europe. These photos are from Ekaterinburg, Russia.
