Fire-warmed food.

Recommended Posts

Now that staying warn is important, why not have food am you up a bit? I noticed that placing any item on the fire will make its' background turn red, so why not be able to place items sick as opened cans, emotionally the fire, and eat them a bit later. Like steaks, the red colour slowly lightens, then goes back to grey (cool) for any item I've put in the lit fire. I already tried this with a can peaches: opened, let best up and placed into pack. Once i got "cold", i ate them while they were still red, but no temp change.

On a related topic, why not have ammo, unopened cabs, or other items get damaged or explode when placed in a fire, using the same or similar timing as it takes to cook meats?

I've also noticed that since .49, we can remove log, and put it back into the fire kit to burn it again. Make logs single use, or wear down in condition.
