Changing Server, my character resets?

Hey all of you, yesterday me and my pal spended like hours gearing up, and later we decided to change server. So we took a random server, and we both spawned in as freshly spawned. No gear, nothing. 

Thats why im making this thread, because its irritating the fuck out of me, its not the first time this week. Anyone got this problem, or is there any patch notes ive missed? Plz be helpful and reply if you know anything.

If you geared up at a 1st person/3rd person server then you probably joined a 1st person server.At 1st person servers you have different character than the 1st/3rd servers.Or atleast I think so..lol

It doesnt matter if i join a 1st person server or a 1st/3rd person server, always freshly spawned...

Whenever i join server that start with the name "SE ...." i always got other character, but luckily i got my "old" back on "normal" servers.

I play on both 1pv and 3pv so i know it is not that "issue"!

Yeah okey, me on the other hand doesnt seems to be able to retrieve my fully geared character.. Donno wat to do really.

Some servers might be "unstable", try to avoid 0/40 server and also if server just restarted don't join it immediately wait for at least a minute or so, I got my char reset couple of times that way.

OP,one of several things happening:

 

1.Many servers are not properly connected to the public hive, or to the item database. So you will spawn in as a noob. This is pretty common.

 

Solution - immediately quit that server before it reaccesses the hive and overwrites your character. You just need to find a server that's properly connected that knows your character.

 

2. You were killed by a Z or players after you quit the server, but your character remained visible (for one minute? I forget...).

 

Solution - it's usually a good idea to wait stationery in game for at least 30 secs (or more) before you quit, to see if anything has spotted you and is coming after you.

 

3. You're joining first person/experimental servers, where your character is separate.

 

Solution - look at the server type before you log in.
