kasseta 41 Posted September 23, 2014 It happened after latest update (stable branch, U0.49). The mass lags every 5-15 min, fps drops from 20-25 fps (my stable fps in U0.48) to 2-5 fps in this time. Changing graphics options, updating GPU drivers, reinstalling game client CAN'T solved this problem. My system specsOS Windows 7 (32)RAM ddr2 4gbCPU intel core 2 duo e7500MB gigabyte p35-ds3rGPU sapphire hd6670 1gb VRAM still remind i got this problems after update 0.49. 0.48 build worked stable
boneboys 7988 Posted September 23, 2014 Thank you.Although your specs are not the best in the world it is strange that you are suffering from these troubles with 0.49 when many people are reporting some overall fps improvements.I will ask one question, did you remove all related files when you uninstalled DayZ, including those in My Docs/DayZ and Steam/SteamApps/Common ?This is a very important step when doing a fresh install of the game. hexrain 11 Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) I have the same problem... to try and narrow the cause down, does anyone else who this is happening to use the -winxp launch option? because i took that off yesterday and played with no problem for about 30 minutes. today i put -winxp back on and in 15 minutes had the freeze and fps drop again. it is really unfortunate if this is the cause because without the launch option i get 20-25 fps whereas with it i get 35-45. note that i tried changing settings while i ws getting the fps drop and lag (someone mentioned this fix) but all the possible fixes refresh the screen (which crashes the game whie using -winxp launch option) so no help there. arranger 1 Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) There are couple of related threads already:http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/169104-day-z-graphics-glitch-and-fps-lag-issue/http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/211326-texture-bug/Could admin maybe merge these or something? Anyway, this seems to be what happens (from the first thread):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC6IP3mti_o Can everyone confirm that? I know it's from january and from the mod, but exactly the same thing happens now. My friends rig is something likei5 2500KGF 560GTX8GB DDR3normal HDD We have - reinstalled the game - removed all config files etc - run the game in window - tried running -winxp (so no, we are not using it normally) - updated GPU drivers (at the moment we are using the latest ones) - disabled Aero - updated DirectX ...and what else.. I want to higlight that fps is just fine (read: "normal") before that glitch occurs. Only after that fps drops to below 7 (actually it feels even more lower)For example, changing texture settings or flushing (Shift + Num- and writing 'flush') fixes the problem for a while, but in couple of minutes it occurs again. Sometimes in one, sometimes in five minutes. Edited September 23, 2014 by arranger
wiicked 0 Posted September 24, 2014 It's really weird actually, i was looking for on differents forums about Dayz, just few people have it. It seems appear just after the new patch 0.49many ways used by players to resolve but not effect. Is it a problem from Dayz ? Probably, but why are only few people effected by it ?So, maybe there's something in common between the players causing the loss of fps and textures? Love u Dayz
arranger 1 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Because this isn't an unique problem, maybe someone should do an official ticket about this? http://feedback.dayzgame.com/ Edited September 25, 2014 by arranger
