dodas 47 Posted September 22, 2014 So we all know b95 rifle is loaded with the same ammunition as the mosin. Then how it has the same dmg with a pistol? I shot a guy from medium range TWICE on the chest and perhaps one close to the head , and he kept running like nothing happened. In real life he would have holes in his chest. I find this peculiar, i was always under the impression that damage followed the round in arma based games. Perhaps that has changed....
surf_polar 110 Posted September 22, 2014 Weird, the Blaze has a very high damage output and I downed two people just fine with it since 0.49. You never know with DayZ..
stinkenheim 249 Posted September 22, 2014 I've killed someone from 200 m with a double blast to the chest recently, must have been really bad lag/desynch that cause your issues, or he had untold amounts of clothing in his jumper/vest as iirc that can allow you to absorb more damage
dashender7 78 Posted September 22, 2014 Aren't there a lot more factors in play than just the weapon or round and the general area of the body at which you think you probably hit someone? Don't forget that the kind of gear they had such as a vest and even how many items were packed into their clothes, and even more importantly, their existing health level at the time of the damage play a huge factor. You don't know whether someone was fully healthy when you shot them or whether they were already extremely low on blood and in shock from previous wounds, and starving. All of these factors are much more likely than some kind of inconsistency with the mechanic of the weapon or round.
