Sometimes I question the dayZ clothing damage system.

-Falls 3 feet-

 

-pants get magically torn up and ruined even though they didn't touch the ground comapared to boots-

 

-boots explode into a ruined state-

 

-falls 3 feet in real life, uses knees kinda like springs to decrease impact and suffers no damage to clothing-

Sometimes? Clothing damage is pretty strange. You can virtually punch a leather jacket into pieces - and zombies do this all the time. But if shot be a rifle the same leather jacket catches the bullet and saves your life by absorbing a part of the energy with its whole surface and everything inside.

 

Then utterly ruined clothes can still hold items just fine and also protect against cold just as well. I hope the clothing damage system is to be revised at some point.

I just put multiple pairs of pants and shirts inside my equipped clothing, as it boost its protection rating.
