Immune to Player Wipes?

Recommended Posts

As of today, I have been alive in Dayz Standalone for eight months. I log on about once a week to look at the new towns being added or to find the newest gear. I was wondering if my character was supposed to be wiped at least once, it seems like everytime I check the forum I see someone worrying about the next global wipe or players mysteriously losing gear. So is something wrong with my character?

I haven't known of a clean wipe since I started playing a few months ago. However, there IS an actual wipe coming with the next update (which is tomorrow I think?), so enjoy your character while you still can!

There have been no official wipes yet. All reported wipes are due to server issues, but those wipes happen by accident, not on purpose.

There will be a game-wide wipe in the coming days to clean out the hacked items that people possess.

Ah there has been 1 official wipe thus far but that was 6 months or more ago (probably longer wasnt long after the alpha came out) cant be sure when .49 is coming to stable as well been playing it via experiemental and its still got a few problems (atleast its not riddled with crashes and server crashes as it was a couple days ago...

You have at least another week before the wipe hits. Experimental is too broken at the moment to be pushed to stable.

You really shouldn't tell people you're immune to wiping. That could start to really smell, you should get that looked at...

Well, I will have some fun hiking and looking for all of the new gadgets. Looking forward to this update. During my eight months alive I have cycled through fulled decked out M4 Mosin and now sks. I think it is the best way to go. No one will get my pristine press vest or scopes.

Haha my stable characters have been alive the entire time as well. I like my hc character more, got the pilot helmet on right now :D

I have watched countless fights, but made sure I never was a participant.

My experimental characters have died and been wiped dozens of times though :(
