DeroQc 21 Posted September 16, 2014 Depending on the situation results may differ, "à genoux connard" is my preferred when a French player shows aggression. A friendly will be greeted with "vous avez le quoi à manger ?" and :beans: are offered. When war is the only possible outcome cries of "créve crève fils du pute !" may often be heard. Putain de merde, sale zombie ! is another that I hear on a regular basis. Pure gold! Thank you so much! The thing is, I'm learning french right now and I wanted to make some youtube videos teaching phrases and words from videogames in french mainly to keep myself motivated. Could you please translate all those phrases you just listed and tell me exactly what they mean so that I can use them? Google translate isn't helping me much. Thank you so much!À genoux connard ! = Get on your knees muthafucka !Vous avez de quoi à manger ? = Do you have something to eat ?Putain de merde, sale zombies ! = Fucking shit, filthy zombies !I would also add :Are you alone ? = Êtes-vous seul ?I'll shoot you if you come closer = Je te tire si tu approcheDrop your weapon ! = Dépose ton arme !Get your hands up ! = Les mains en l'air !Do you need help ? = As-tu besoin d'aide ?I could have been your father but the line was too long ! = J'aurais pu être ton père mais la file était trop longue ! DeroQc 21 Posted September 16, 2014 Tabernacle!!!!!! At least french canadiens say that. You need to pronounce it "ta-bar-nak".When a french canadian goes like "Ahhh, tabarnak !!", it means "Ahh, fuck !!"It can also be used like an objective, like in the phrase, "That fucking asshole shot my friend" -> "Ce tabarnak de trou de cul à tirer mon ami"You can even use it as a name lol. Instead of calling you an asshole, I can call you a "tabarnak"Swearing is complicated in french, but it's so relieving !! xD
Ceallach 56 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) For some reason I got reminded of this. Have you tried saying "I surrender?" No offense intended to the French, I know your Napoleon and revolution kicked ass. :D Edited September 16, 2014 by Ceallach
sachad 1016 Posted September 16, 2014 I just go "Sacré bleu! Fromage baguette! Tour de France!", which makes them laugh so I get the drop on them. Take that, ya cheese-eatin' surrender monkeys!

nl 986 Posted September 16, 2014 Hello. I'm currently trying to learn french and I thought I'd learn some popular phrases from games I like. I was wondering what French people say in DayZ where english speakers say friendly? I've asked one other person and he said there's no word for it and an alternative would be: "Ne tirez pas, je suis dans votre camp" but I want to double check. Can anyone help me out?"Amical" or "ami"?
DeroQc 21 Posted September 16, 2014 and you can change "tabarnak" for "caliss" "osti" or "sacrament"That's right ! Even the word "criss" can be used as a replacement. xD
