News on Private servers, and custom servers?

Title states it.

 

I have watched interviews and have read all i can read.  Can someone give me news or status on private hives, or when we can expect to see custom loot tables, and content?

my guess is BI is way to afraid of hacking to allow mods. if all modifications to the game are not allowed, it would be harder to hack. i wouldnt be suprised if third party mods are dis-allowed completely.
