Direct Communication not working, Including Chat!

Hey, something really frusterating happened. Im not excactly sure what happened but i cant talk in game at all. That includes voice chat and typing. I just talk or type and the other person cant see or hear word I say. It is really annoying because i cannot communicate with other players what so ever. It used to just be voice chat but now its both. Please help!!

 

PS: I know for a fact its not my mic, it works with every other game and i can record with it as well.

This exact thing would happen from time to time in the mod, and i don't think they ever found a fix for it. It was fairly rare and only tied to a certain player. I always felt it was something client-side. For shits and giggles try verifying the integrity of your game cache

So what you are saying is that there is nothing I can do?

I know if my game crashes for any reason I need to restart my computer or my mic won't work in game (no direct chat option is available) despite working fine for raid call. If I simply unplug my mic and plug it back in then even the head phones don't work. Quite frustrating, especially if I forget about it.

Well in that specific case there wasn't anything we found to help. The interweebs were polluted with cockamamie fixes that did nothing. But who knows just because its the same symptoms doesn't mean its the same disease
