This happened to a friend in the upper level of the same building on NWAF a few days ago. He was suddenly standing next to him. After checking where I was at, my mate unloaded and killed the guy. Man, he was loaded with protector cases, ammo, weapons and all sorts of neat stuff.

 

This is why you should always have a clear strategy of who is where in the building and why you should ALWAYS close all doors behind you, as well as always reckoning with this type of thing happening. Saves you the three seconds of asking questions.

 

I've spent some days just observing the camo building near Svetlo bagging guys like this and it's incredible how many people spawn in and out right in the building.

I always leave the door open, because I want anyone around to either think it has already been looted, or that there is someone inside the building, which there is.  Closed doors are more inviting to people passing by.

First thing I do when I see an airstrip building with open doors is that I am twice as wary since the recent looter might still be around. And I don't need to tell you about 99.9% of DayZ players shoot on sight at airstrip buildings. Closed doors decrease awareness and give you the advantage when inside.

 

As for me, I will still go into such a building even if the doors are open (just more carefully) because mostly, they've been ransacked by said server-hoppers, who mostly are just looking for one or two single items, like a 75-round drum or a smersh backpack, then leave all the other good stuff behind and all the doors open, go up to the top floor and log out.

In other words, if you don't want people to think you're a desperate server hopper hopping for some mags, don't log in or out of the prison building. If you run out of luck and your server crashes or something, log in in an empty server and move to a safe location, or expect people seeing you spawn in to shoot on sight.

 

There's just too much hopping going on in prison buildings and on airstrips. You don't ask questions or risk getting shot.

There are points where I've logged into a seemingly empty town while in a bush only to find someone looting the building in front of me. I could kill them or their friend. Does that make me a hopper?

I don't know anyone who logs out in a barracks in that manner unless they are server hopping, especially in the airfield.

I know 4 people who do, and they've never server hopped in their life. They just play for long shifts and get tired.

Im not sure what you mean by hotbar?

 

Hotbar is very slow to respond for me, and the MP5K does not work if you pull it out VIA hotbar.

I can agree to this, I had to cut the video at that point, high stress situation calls for high stress talk, I am the leader of that group, and treat situations like that very seriously.

lol puzzay... Any ways there's too Many dare I say "useless" survivors out there ... My two best friends in real life are two of them lol but they know it , they just aren't good at making decisions in stressful situations so naturally one has to become the leader and unfortunately if you don't command your squad they all die :/ .. But yes control that swearing lol , also did anyone notice that the alleged server hopper was using his third person view to try and see what you guys were doing while you shot him to death ? I mean c'mon you can't define irony better than a guy tryin to abuse the game to his advantage only to be taken out by that same "advantage"...

You havent lead a group of people, that was only two other people, I lead a group of 6 when they are all on.

 

Some people need yelled at to get them into the right mindset, all of us had pounding hearts and adrenaline rushing.

I agree swearing at them is a bit far, but when you have to think on your feet, its all that you can do.
