haknslash 763 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) It was supposed to start a few minutes ago but they are having internet problems causing the delay https://twitter.com/Hicks_206/status/510456472061632512. Should be an interesting stream and I hope people remain civil in chat. Edit - it has now been rescheduled for tomorrow https://twitter.com/Hicks_206/status/510461723317649408 http://www.twitch.tv/dayz Edited September 12, 2014 by haknslash

haknslash 763 Posted September 12, 2014 Man, the amount of douchebaggery and overall immature attitude of the Twitch DayZ community is embarrassing, When Hicks announced they were having internet issues at the office the twitch chat went toxic. People saying crap like "the devs can't even do a stream without fckng it up", "even I could get this right" or similar comments was just uncalled for. As if any of those kids have ever worked in an office environment when the internet has gone down. The stream was set to 4pm Prague time so getting an IT or ISP tech provider out there before end of business day on a Friday was not going to happen within a decent timeframe. It would be no different than internet going down at my office, which happens from time to time. The sense of entitlement some people have just makes me shake my head in shame for them.Comments like those really turn me off from developing and publishing a game on my own. I definitely give BI and the DayZ team kudos for being transparent and involved directly with the community via the forums, reddit, twitter and twitch. Usually companies put a CM or company shill in place to take the brunt of such storms. I know I will if I ever publish mine lol. It looks bad on all of us as a community when the punks and "arm chair" keyboard warrior developers overshadow the chat with nonsense and disgusting vile. I hope tomorrow goes off without a hitch and people don't spam the chat with questions that have already been addressed in recent Pax Prime presentations or the weekly dev status reports, which many still don't read or follow.
