odin_lowe 3686 Posted September 4, 2014 Have you been hit by a zombie recently? Even if it doesn't show you have a fracture, using morphine or a splint will fix excessive sway. Rebinding your key usually work, as I use left "ctrl" to hold breath while right mouse button zooms in. It only last for about 3 seconds, then you'll hear your character breath heavily. Hope this helps.
delate 0 Posted September 4, 2014 Actually yeah, now i think about it, it keeps coming up in the bottom left saying "My leg is in pain" Never thought about it affecting it but im guessing it does? Its not a fracture or anything so, do i need morphine to make it better? Bororm 1156 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Binding multiple keys is a glitch/exploit that's going to be addressed soon, so I'd advise against using it. Not only because it's exploiting, but because you don't want to get used to it and then have to relearn to snipe when it's fixed (supposed to be fixed next patch in fact). What I recommend is using + and - on the numpad, to zoom in and out. This has the added benefit of letting you zoom in, in increments, as well as not having to hold your breath while you aim, leaving you ready to hold it when you're actually ready to shoot. Then just right click to steady as usual. As stated, getting hit at all, regardless of a fracture basically messes up your sway and you should use a splint/morphine. The difference is huge. Good luck! Edited September 4, 2014 by Bororm

Mark Darkers 151 Posted September 4, 2014 also assigning the hold breath functin to more than one key and then pressing both those hold breath keys, will make your aim super stable (when not out of breath), at the moment the player will hold his breath twice and you have double the steadyness. Kaku 2 Posted September 4, 2014 I have binded breath on shift.
Kirov (DayZ) 585 Posted September 4, 2014 Binding multiple keys is a glitch/exploit that's going to be addressed soon, so I'd advise against using it. Care to elaborate? I never pulled this trick and thought that the additional Mosin zoom-in with RMB actually replaces the breath, but it seems here I'm the only one to think so. Bororm 1156 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Care to elaborate? I never pulled this trick and thought that the additional Mosin zoom-in with RMB actually replaces the breath, but it seems here I'm the only one to think so. You can bind hold breath to 2-3 separate keys, and holding them all steadies your aim even further. Holding your breath normally steadies it pretty well, but there's still a slight sway, but binding multiple keys essentially stacks the effect, making it completely steady. This isn't actually intentional, and it's going to be fixed. The default settings have RMB both holding breath and zooming in. Binding them to separate keys, so that you aren't necessarily holding your breath every time you want to zoom in is a legit thing, and people suggest it (I don't personally do it). It's just binding hold breath to multiple keys to stack the effect that is a glitch/exploit. Hope that clarifies. Edited September 4, 2014 by Bororm

Save your morphine for a firefight and just us a stick bound with a rag as a splint to make that message go away and steady you up some.
