DirtyWings 51 Posted August 30, 2014 Yea maybe if they added toxic clouds as a weather. Roaming around the map.But I think they were made to look tacticool.
IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted August 30, 2014 Eventually they'll have a use, but right now like silencers, they're just in the game. This would most likely be a way to protect yourself against infectious diseases in certain areas when they are added. IE clomping around a mass grave or near bodies. LegitOldSchool 261 Posted August 31, 2014 I hope they make them required to visit some specific parts of the map, or make them useful against tear gas or something.
leviski 2152 Posted August 31, 2014 One day I hope to see a modder to implement Metro/STALKER mix mash into dayz
a_ruttle 199 Posted August 31, 2014 Tear gas grenades, possibly an area 1-2km squared saturated with an area denial agent like VX [logical backstory being they tried it to kill zombies] maybe at a border post to be added in the NW corner of the map.
DirtyWings 51 Posted August 31, 2014 With hyperthermia I don't think many of us will wear the gas mask..
Combine (DayZ) 247 Posted August 31, 2014 The gas mask will probably have (more) practical uses later on, just like any sort of similar mask (normal mask included). Still useful right now, if you ask me. It can be considered minor camo in some circumstances or under some visual settings, as the base color (pristine or damaged) fits the surrounding areas more than bare skin most of the time.
