Long coats

So, is it possible in the future, that we will see a long coat in the game? 

Would be great to use it to avoid getting wet from rain, to be able to wear it on top of all ur gear, like a huge one, u know.

And the looks must be just fantastic.

I am not saying that there was a poll not long ago that (amongst similar things) asked people whether they wanted a Longcoat/Poncho or not.

 

But there was such a vote - until it was replaced by a poll on jackets. So refrain from starting a topic whether people want a Suit Jacket in game or not and vote there.

Clipping man, clipping. As much as I would love to have long coats, devs already said that clipping would be a big issue.

DEVs said, that they need a better hit-clip-detection-system on a better "engine" for coats/dusters.

 

But now, that DayZ's engine will be changed, I think this will come surely somewhere some time in the future.

 

 

 

And yes, we NEED Ponchos.

 

 

 

 

 

A Poncho would increase the bad-assery-level over 9000, increase Revolver- and lever-action-firing-speed by +20%, increase damage by +15 and the Poncho-wearer is immune to stupidity and irony.
