If i change my name- Does my character get wiped.

Simple as it sounds. If i change my name on the in-game screen. Will my current character be reset? Or will it simply change his name accordingly.

You will not be wiped if you change your name.

How do you even change your name?

In the login screen you see your name in the lower right hand corner, click on it and just type different name.
