Not yet.  So far, only rotten fruits/vegetables make you sick.  Worn/damaged food is perfectly edible, but this might change in future versions of DayZ.

...

    Loot: Heli-crashsites fixed

    Loot: Loot tables changed

Loot: Rotten fruit and vegetables removed from loot spawns

    Weapons: Crossbow dispersion tweaked

Weapons: CR 527 magazine cannot be repainted

Weapons: Range for all melee weapons and fists tweaked

...

There should be no rotten fruit at all at the moment, so you're good to go (as long you don't eat raw potatoes).

I suspect, but have no proof that "worn" food (or worse) only has the negative that it gives you less calories/hydration.

Well if you find a worn banana, you can eat it, sure, but would you?

I don't think worn food make you sick.
