(no one ever listens though. ) 1: That's how they're supposed to work; just because you're talking into a radio doesn't mean people around can't hear you (unless you whisper into it, which isn't an option...) 2: If I have a radio, I've got a battery in it and it's on. I've heard things every now and then. Someone kept saying something like "Yeah yeah I'm at the hospital... nonono turn around... yeah the one in Elektro..." like he was giving directions to a really lost player. I was trying to find him (so I could kill hiim and his friend) and unfortunately Elektro was completely empty :( I wasn't able to talk back to them as far as I know. I kept trying to say things like "*heavy breathing* It's so nice... to see... a friendly face... in Elektro...mwahahaha..." They either didn't hear me or didn't react. I felt like a dork. grindstone50k 208 Posted August 25, 2014 My group has laid radios on the road to Elektro while camping on the lighthouse island and hailed freshspawns as they ran by. Sometimes we'd give them loot, sometimes we'd make them fight each other. I just wish the radios had a much larger effective range. Right now they're basically 1km. Noble Savage 116 Posted December 22, 2014 ok, myself and a friend finally managed to get hold of a radio apiece at the same time, both had attached working batteries (tested in a flashlight) and both set to the same (default) frequency, yet we failed to get them to work at all. We started close together and of course we heard each other but that was through direct, as we moved apart to a few hundred metres direct chat eventually cut out and then silence.
