Are they improving performance ?

Recommended Posts

I can play with max settings, while in open, airfields, and small towns (no matter if a full or midd population server), but when i reach the big citys i barely can play in Normal settings, will they "fix" until the final version ? Or Will dayZ stay with this performance for ever ?

Just let them get the new rendering engine in. (DX11) This will greatly improve performance. Until then, it's going to suck in big cities. (Might afterwards too, but that's another story.)

Oh, i´ve heard that the problem of big cities is that the engine loads pretty much everything, even those things you dont see so it gets a "BIT" heavier trhan usual.

Just hope that DX11 might resolve, or at least bring a all new performance experience.

You, me and majority of players are hoping that the new renderer will help with client optimalisations and we will finally get decent FPS even in towns. If DayZ should always run like now, it would be HUGE let down

It's not even version 0.50 yet. Relax people.

Yes, they will keep this level of performance. Optimization never happens in that thing they call beta. Never ever!

if you're gping to camp in a large city, half your view distance in your config file, there use to be a mod that did it dynamically - it may work with standalone i've never tried. I just stay away from large town's / citys in the mean time until it's optimised, keeps everything running smooth..

I guess when we get to beta we might have an issue then.

True, but that would involve people knowing the difference between alpha and beta stages.
