Main Menu Character Question

Hi All

 

I recently restored my PC back to factory settings due to a system problem.  After this i reinstalled Steam and then DayZ.

 

Here is my question

 

After reinstalling DayZ and loading up for the first time, my character on the main menu screen is no longer there.  All i get is what looks like part of the clouds flickering between a white and blue background.  I used to be able to see my full character before reinstall but now nothing.  I miss not being able to rotate my guy on the main menu screen etc.

 

Does anyone have any ideas why this has happened?

I had this before... Have you changed the launch parameters?

If I'm correct, you simply need to click Configure, and then video and it should fix your graphical errors. I know this applys in game to blurryness and logging in with green and blue screens. Best of luck, PM if it still persists.

Hi guys its still not working.

 

could it be something to do with my .cfg file.  I did change some of these before i launched the game thinking they were the same as before.

 

can anyone post a default copy of the .cfg file for me.
