Character Not Carrying Over From Other Computer

I just set up a new computer, and installed DayZ. On my other computer I had an AK, MP5, and loads other loot, but on my new PC I am a new character. I thought it was linked to your steam profile. Any ideas on what to do, would be much appreciated.

join a server .... everything works fine!

 

i have 2 steam accounts and switch them on 4 diffrent pcs

 

it works... u see just the last avatar you used on your pc thats all... after joining a server its fixed.

 

plz use the searchfunction...

If your char was saved on your pc , it would probs be easy to glitch / edit your char ..
