Just bought Day Z, Doesnt work! please help!

Hello, as the title states I just bought Day Z on steam, when it finihed downloading I tried to run it. After double clicking the game it opened then immediatly my Insignia TV went black as if I was changing inputs and said "Unsupported mode"; this happens everytime. I found a thread on here that said go to the day z config and change the resolution in there, but since I havn't even been able to launch the application the config file hasnt fully generated, all it has is something about 3d. I tried copy and pasting the proper resolution "Resolution_W=1920
Resolution_H=1080" but I get an error message and the game wont launch. Also I cant get back to my desktop without restarting my computer while in "Unsupported mode" I cant tell if this an issue with my tv or if day z is outputing a resolution to high for my tv?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated as Im dying to play this game!

Where exactly did you look for your dayz.cfg? It doesnt live in the steam library.

 

Mine lives C:\Users\2014\Documents\DayZ for example

 

2014 is my username.

Sorry for the double post, but I've tried a few more things and none of them worked, such as trying to launch the game in windowed and compatibility mode. Also day z is allowed by my firewall.

 

Could someone possibly send me a copy of their config file? I'll pm you my email address to avoid unnessisary spam.
