I can't friggin attack! No matter if I raise my weapon, unequip it and then re-equip it, drop it and pick it up, etc. - nothing works, I have to relog. Pretty much this is guaranteed to happen every time I get hit by a zombie. Once I'm hit, I have to relog because I can't attack with anything. This is particularly lame because zombies love to attack me through walls this patch (while being nowhere near my character).

 

We need some awareness spread about this dumb bug because need a hotfix nao. "

 

EDIT - SOLUTION: It's a known bug transferred over from the new patch that was in experimental. If you attack/click too fast, after 2-3 times your LMB stops working. When attacking you have to wait for the animation to end before clicking" - EchoZeero

I have had it happen twice this patch set...really frustrating when you only realize WHEN you need to shoot someone. Haven't figured out what causes it yet.

I trust they will sort it out in short order.

I'm not sure if other people can confirm this for themselves, but I've pinpointed it to it happening to me only when a zombie attacks me. If I get attacked by a zombie, I'm unable to attack, every single time it happens.

But navmesh is so great!   And every update means the game is nearing completion!

Thanks, that helps a lot, but I searched for 10 minutes before making my post dingus, it's not like there aren't dozens of threads with relatable search tags that don't relate to my problem or have threads lacking solutions to my problem. It's easy for you to point these out because der...you posted in them already. How convenient for you? :thumbsup: You should actually try searching how many thread results come from the keywords "can't attack bug"- and I scour Google, not just this forum specifically.

Seriously though pretty well known bug i guess its a good way of pointing out the noobish crazed click attack players ,havent suffered it yet with my slow methodical actually aim and click method im sure ill get it sooner or later though....

Funny guy - I didn't know melee attacking was some supposed to be some sort of timing minigame, any pro player would be trying for max DPS ;)

There has been a lot of discussion over the last month or so but if you are not browsing the Forums on a regular basis or playing on previous Experimental builds and/or following the Exp discussions you would not know about it.

Your concerns and Topic are both valid.

Try using a farmers hoe instead of any kind of axe. When I was using any axe in exp I had the same issue. Started using the Farmers Hoe and it went away. With the new exp build it is still there with axes but you can beat it by taking a few steps.

This happened to me, I can confirm

Yesterday I was shooting some zombies with a LRS mosin for practice, reloaded and fired 2 of 5 rounds when I got hit by a zombie that must have spawned nearby and my gun didn't work, it was pristine and so was the ammo

I managed to lead it off a cliff and spent a few minutes trying to work out what happened, I tries unloading the bullets, reloading a different set but it didn't have any effect

I relogged and after that it was fine even after being hit by a zombie

Could be related, might have just been desych

Not a very intuitive key word - few people are going to be able to identify the bug by the cause (clicking too fast during melee). I feel like can't attack bug is a little more accurate, because when it happens you are unable to use any weapon whatsoever.

You must remember that it's not like the artists are typically also coders so isn't it better for them to keep making content while the appropriate people actually look to tackle the bugs?

 

I understand it is a very frustrating bug (I almost died to it a few times myself!) but this is the reality of early access games—you either play now and endure the bugs (although you don't have to like them!) or you sit on your hands and play something else until the game development has progressed a little further.

I'm not criticising the fact you're complaining, only that you cannot really expect more at this stage when the game is plastered with disclaimers telling you it is broken and you probably are going to get frustrated.

Sometime and randomly you can't shoot anymore with any weapon you do have an your inventory, neither use your fists or drop your stuff to the groud.

 

 

Yesterday i was camping with my friend above the rocks of Svetlo and 2 guys ghosted on us with AKM (very nice guys glitch abusers), and once i had one of that morons on my sight that was trolling on a rock over the body of my friend, i could not shoot neither with the Rifle and neither with the pistol. I had to logout on the brushes and the log in back.

 

 

 

This bug non shooting weapon is not a cheat, but an horrible bug that always happens in a bad time and it's around the third time i'm getting it in a week.

 

 

I don't want to lose a fight or let others trolling us because our weapons didn't shot!

 

 

 

....At least that damn idiot was so dumb to troll over the body of my friend that he put the feet the wrong way and fallen down by himself. What a pathetic.

Yeah considering the person i posted it to has a habbit of saying how cool he is specially in threads where people have had troubles he didnt( as in direct quote of sorry dude doesnt happen to cool people) ....

 

mr elitedude is your classic poser so yeah i think it was quite justified to poke a little fun at him.(its not an insult merely pointing out he is not as cool as he has said)

 

Although at my age i am not sure its possible to be a hipster cool or other wise but cheers LameMobber i am sure he needed you coming to his defence...
