I broke my arm... can I die from it or... my player seems to say it has no effect besides more gun sway

 

I Tried pain killers but I can't seem to put my hand through the screen to give them to him.

What gr8mghtyp00 said, and no, you can't die from it; it WILL, however, make taking a tinkle a bit problematic. And forget trying to take a dump. Best bet is to just find a new pair of pants and leave yours behind for someone else to find. You never know who might need a Badly Damaged pair of soiled trousers. As for painkillers, I don't think they actually do anything as of yet, but that may have changed recently without my knowledge.

I THINK there is a pain condition out there. Friend of mine got hit by a zombie kept moaning and his screen said his arm was in pain. He insisted that there was no "fracture" condition in the character window.

I looted around and found him some pain killers, but he managed to get himself killed before I could get them to him and see if it worked. So I'm not really certain that the pain killers would have done anything.

I do think you are weaker with a broken arm still from my experience. I have hit by a zombie, ran away, bandaged the got hit again and instant you are dead. Anyone else know if broken arm equals less hits?

I once had painful arm (or leg; I forget which) and found some painkillers; I took them, and nothing happened. That was a while ago, though.

Unrelated comment but i really really would love to see a much deeper medical system. i want gangrene, infections, limb loss. i think IRL after a fracture bad healed you could have sequels. i would love a medical system like Robinson's Requiem ! Anyone knows this oldie ?

 

Then you could lose an eye in fight and end with the half of the screen black or lose fingers, toes. and your character will be more clunky. such a medical system can bring more difficulty and moderate Pvp cause you have to pay more attention to your character after a fght.
